does anyone knows how to make those "crushed" pearl inlays?
Any suggestions for where to find these materials?

I did that once with coral and turquoise. I went to a jeweler's supply store and bought crushed turquoise and coral - this was back in the 60's or 70's (kind of a hippie thing to do) and I put a silver line in there too with actual silver. Just mix up some clear epoxy resin and push the crushed pearl in and then file/sand it down flush with a radius block after the resin sets up.

I was just considering this very thing myself. Search Amazon for mother of pearl material.
    Lots of choices there.

    I'd do 2 part epoxy.
Actually I believe Ric uses some sort of liquid, but the book I have gives no detail.

please forgive my ignorance, but is there a difference between 2 part epoxy (I guess you mean epoxy resin, those used to cast objects) and epoxy glue (also 2 part I think)?

The glue, in my experience, is more yellowish.
