These days, that would land you in a world of hurt. Creepy is a polite description.
What i find spooky in the first pic is the long bony fingers, the lazy eye, the smoke... even the capo disturbs me...
isn t that how you re supposed to remove the tail of a lamb ?
It's because there is a faint skull on the canvas behind him.
His little finger is definitely spooky, doesn't look real.
Much as I like The Residents, it is hard to beat this for spooky!
I decided to change my photo.
Zappa's album wasn't really creepy, more like a sell out. Like most of his albums. That bothers me since I know how much talent and potential he really had.
He liked to make fun of people and sometimes himself. I guess that was an easier and more economically rewarding road to take
He reminded me of Spike Jones. A vaudeville style band leader/clown/satirist.
Rather than create great compositions like his heroes Edgard Varèse, Igor Stravinsky and Pierre Boulez, he chose to do comedy for the most part. And insinuate that he was too sophisticated for most people. Maybe.
I had completely forgotten about that pic. As a kid I remember being creeped out, and fascinated by it, all at the same time. Rock and roll, man!
Don’t make me find my pic of Slade.
Oh, come on. Slade was cool. Dorky, but cool.
I can't find any pics of Iggy looking particularly weird. Just pics of him being Iggy Pop, you know!
And anyone who thinks that Iggy Pop is weird, must be weird.
For some reason, this one always gave me a stomachache every time I saw it when flipping through the album bin at the local Woolworth as a 10 year-old.
Actually it still does...
Absolutely same experience here! Need the back cover for full effect though . . .
Always wondered there the rest of the guitar was.
