I don t know why, but i find this one is spooky.
Robert Johnson had those amazingly long fingers. Sorry, I can't see anything at all spooky in the musician who has probably had the greatest effect on my musical sensability, only the feeling of most deeply profound respect, and if one can still use the abused word in its true sence, awesome, but not spooky, awe inspiring greatness.
It’s remarkable how different people have different feelings.
Can you find the picture of a musician,,,,
so in my first band (we were in our early 20s) the wives and girlfriends that would tag along regardless of being asked not to would make us leave the door open to our tiny jam space. then they would proceed to scream over us to talk to each other. the singer and I asked if we could shut the damn door, as did other bands that rented there too. we were denied. so one day the singer and I came in wearing only a single strategically placed sock each. needless to say, the door remained closed from that point on. this pic reminds me of that situation.
According to some recently deceased blues collector and TBone Burnett who visited the guy’s archives , “Robert Johnson” was a stage name and there are two or three other legit photos of him . His actual name was Dusty or something .
Emmet Miller ?
Sounds like a legit reason.
Moose Knuckle Rash!
IIRC back in the days of club gigs, the Red Hot Chili Peppers used to do their last set like that. Tube socks and rubber bands.
I read something similar to this.
He used the name Johnson in an attempt to associate himself with Lonnie Johnson and another Johnson who's name escapes me but who was equally popular at the time.
More than once Robert is quoted as saying of himself "Just one of them Johnson boys."
Me too...that gentlemen's fingers are at least twice the length of mine...must be supernatural...not fair!
John 5 has the same thing going on with his left hand.
There's a video where he shows it and compares his left and right hand.
So the Devil didn't tune his guitar, he gave him longer fingers?
Must... resist... joke...
Hound Dog Taylor
This one creeps the living heck outta me!
