I'm forced to take certain supplements daily, which I dissolve in my first cup of coffee. I mask them with half & half. My following cups are black, which is my perennial preference. The only other time I use half & half is if the coffee is bad.

    Espresso - totally black
Whole milk and no sweetener for milk+cappucino drinks
Teeny splash of 1% or something for regular american style coffee with some sugar

I used to use half and half years ago but it's too much if your coffee is good.. and cream would be even more out of control.

When espresso is made really well it will not be so insanely bitter like Nespresso and tastes good by itself. It's just really badly made in an awful lot of places in the US.

I've been going crazy making espresso at home.. it has really opened by eyes. Basically 99% of what I've ever had was just bad bad bad.. so you get a preference for the milk drinks. When the espresso is really good it's a waste to put anything in it, it just ruins it.

Half and half for me. Whenever I see cream in the store it is whipping cream.

Fairly certain this is a line verbatim from 'Best Little Whorehouse in Texas.'

If the coffee is really good...black.

Otherwise, cream preferred and sometimes raw sugar.

Whatever you've got. But probably not full fat milk any more - I find it too creamy in tea these days. Semi-skimmed. NO SUGAR!

PG Tips or Yorkshire Tea :)

All wrong. :) Semi-skimmed in regular coffee. Nothing in my quad-espresso(*)!

(*) my wonderful friend Serena would put an 8-cup Bialetti can on the burner, then we'd split it in two. That's how I learnt to drink espresso :p

Just black,... unless there's no choice but some old coffee when traveling then it's whatever creamer is available. (I got hooked on fresh coffee many years ago. Fresh = recently roasted, ground just before brewing.)

Mostly black, occasionally with either half and half but I prefer heavy cream when I do add anything.

Either frothed milk, or half and half. Yum. I love coffee. I also drink it black on occasion.

I drink coffee black. But I also drink tea in the afternoon. I use clotted cream in my tea along with a tablespoon of molasses. I was introduced to this by a friend who was born and raised in northern England.

When the British stole the tea from Asia they should have stolen the correct way to drink it too, no sugar or milk.

I generally prefer the Asian styles of tea anyway, but British styles of tea still taste way better to me with nothing added.

When I became a "French Press roast my own beans - coffeee snob", my preference became black with no sugar, I also gave up the cream. Heavy cream was my favorite but I also dropped as low as using powdered creamers, makes me nauseous to think about that today.

It's funny, I like a cup of cappuccino, but if I'm drinking plain coffee, I want it black. I actually enjoy the taste of a rich black cup of coffee. I savor it, kind of like when I used to drink, I drank Jack, and I enjoyed the taste of it, not necessarily in moderation.

Black since I was 18. What I remember as a kid most was the crush I had on the neighborhood's milkman's daughter.

Jiggs Athey was our milkman when I was a kid. I like heavy cream or half and half, I'll have it black before I'd use 2%. No sweetener. The dogs like the dregs with cream, sometimes I think they are half cat. No flavored creamer or powder or anything like that...
