The burning question of our time. I was behind a fellow in the checkout line the other day and he was buying a carton of cream for his coffee. He was telling the young cashier that was normal when he was a kid. It made me recall those days when, as a child, my mom would put a server of cream on the table in the morning for us to use in coffee. There was no such thing as half-and-half back in the day. It also jarred my memory of a time when milk was delivered to your house in glass bottles and there was a thick layer of cream at the top of every bottle. It made me wonder how many people still use cream in their coffee rather than the more common half-and-half.
