Forgive me, but I couldn't resist. Here is a classic of its genre straight from today's Craigslist:

I don't see what's wrong with it. I kinda like his style, actually.

NYC? I wouldn't be surprised if he sold it.

Keep your eyes peeled for a new member's "just got my first Tele" thread.:D

Also wondering how Lindy Fralin will take the news finding out that his most creative days are 20 yrs. gone. Rather than taking it hard and falling into a funk I hope he takes advantage of the news. Now he can start a new line of "Lindy's Vintage 'the way I used to wind 'em at the height of my creativity' pickups".

Why would you switch out the pickups if you're never going to play it?

Eh, it's New York, asking prices have little connection to reality, and are often 2x3 times what things sell for..

Maybe he can get his asking price in 2024. That's high even by NYC standards.

I bet the deal goes down like this: He says meet him at the building entrance. Takes the cash, says wait here and I'll go upstairs and get the Tele. Never to be seen again.

Trying us out to see if it'll fly? And I'm gonna send this roll of magnet wire back to Remington Industries and demand that high-copper, copper wire that Lindy used to use.

    New Yakkas, gotta love 'em.
