So today I was at a flea market that I like to go to and I found an interesting find. It's a Jennings head and cab. Knowing Jennings was Vox I had heard of their stuff but had never seen one in person. I have a couple old AC-30s that I like and this was kind of kool looking so I figured I would buy it. I wasn't sure if it would (1) work and (2) sound good. I kind of thought it would sound bad but look cool and probably didn't work. The guy wanted $150 and I got him down to $100. When I got home I plugged it in with a 70s Fender Jazz, an old Apollo 335 looking bass, Fender Bass VI and Dano baritone. The all sounded really, really good. Very warm and a lot of solid power behind them. Not modern sounding but very vibey and sweet tonez. I felt around the grill and thought it would be a 15. I finally opened it up and it's kind of interesting. It's an old Celestion 18" speaker which is krazy. Anyways, it looks like it belonged to a do0de in Australia who also played in the UK. The cab is stenciled Diamond Express England and Australia on the back and he wrote his name and address inside.
