So how many of your cover bands out there throw some Christmas songs in their sets at this time of year?

Our band is doing Blue Christmas next weekend at a gig, but in a more punk rock style and added solos to pad it out a little longer.

Instead of actual Christmas songs, I have over the years learned how to sneak clips of Christmas melodies (e.g. Jingle Bells, Joy To The World, etc.) into my guitar breaks during normal (non-Christmas) cover songs.

And I also have other gigs where I just play Christmas songs.

Yes, we have added a few to the setlist for gigs around this time of year.

Edited to add: they go on our setlist as “Slade Christmas”, “Wizzard Christmas”, “Lennon Christmas” and (to be added for next year most likely) “Bruuuuuce Christmas”.

We usually put Blue Christmas and Run Run Rudolph in our set list during December. This year we've also added a reggae version of White Christmas.

I thing worship bands should look at 'Christmas Must Be Tonight' by The Band -- one of my all-time favourite songs by one of my all- time favourite bands.

On Spotify last night I heard a humorous country Christmas song about a dysfunctional family. Anyone know who sang it?

    John Denver wrote a Classic...

Four chords, easy to cover, and really sends a nice message...
