I built these to mount a couple homeless speakers Vox Blue And Tone Tubby. They are made out of particleboard also wanted to get familiar with my new Dovetail jig. Baffles are 1/2 ply back 1/4" melamine. I think I would call these semi open back. The teal color is left over from painting the coffee table. My wife is into teal accent for the family room. So with a little Teal & black lacquer, some pin stripe tape and clear-coat new Speaker Boxes. They also sound really nice. Another fun thing to build and SQUARE.

Dovetails in particleboard? You are a very brave and patient man! How many blowouts did you have to deal with?

Those look awesome... A friend of mine has a Les Paul in the same color that would be a cool match.
