Not sure if it's the right forum... I just watched this french movie (again): Mais qui a tué Pamela Rose (2003). It's a fake american movie, somehow a parody of "the silence of the lambs", in this scene there is a fake country singer, singing in fake english... The guitar player has a true thinline telecaster and peavey amp. That's all.

    ;)

Hate to say it... but there is a lot of fake country music on this side of the pond as well :D

FWIW... I know country music is a niche market in France but I've played many world class country festivals there. Craponne-Sur-Arzon, Cagnes-Sur-Mer, Saint-Agrève, Tours and Mirande just to name a few. The main acts might be from the US, Canada and the UK.... but there were also a lot of local acts, and many if not most could hold their own just fine.
