I only read your post, and since the OP asked about amps, I took it for granted that we were speaking about electrics ...

    Fender Nashville b-bender Tele

    2) Your main amp?

    Twin Reverb

    3) What kind of effects?

    6) Describe your style! What kind of Country music do you play?

Weird country blues of my own invention, along with badly-rendered versions of more famous people's stuff

    7) Your influences, heroes?

Too many to list, but for today's purposes I'd start with Clarence White, Don Rich, Waylon Jennings and JJ Cale, along with Pete Kleinow and Ralph Mooney as honorary guitar players.

Just revisited this thread today so on the off-chance that motwang is still around ...
Good question. I play live in pubs, not in large halls. Up close to an audience so volume isn't so big a deal for me. I use light strings because they're easier on my fingers, something I got used to.
However, I was just thinking the other night that I had difficulty hearing my guitar stand out. Put it down to me being behind the guitar while the sound projects outward. But you make a good point. I'll try different combinations of strings/picks and see how I get on.

Ernie Ball Hybrid Slinky 9-46's give a decent compromise, a lot of session players I know use this mix. I use a 1 mm pick but even with a med. pick the highs tend to cut through the mix well, its that bottom end that's missing in lights. Dialing up compression to high reduces that though.

As for bends, if you do a lot of them and are staying with 9s, a lot of Nashville guys raise their action up high so they sneak the high strings behind the others without pushing on them. In a way, its nice to have 2 Teles, for lots of reasons, but one is to keep one at high action to do pedal steel bends without feeling crowded on the fretboard, lets you hammer on the top 3.
