I saw that - made my heart sink!

At least they rescued the only remaining '83 production model!

25-30 feet deep?! That is terrifying.

Sucks about the Vettes but I'm glad nobody got hurt.

    I didn't see the '83 on that list...did I miss it?

That's close to cave country. Surprised that doesn't happen a lot more.

I'd think they'd save the cars and repair them. They might not be all that badly damaged if all they did was ride the floor down. Key word here is "might".

The only one that I see that is important, is the black '62 and it is the one near to the surface in the picture.

This makes me sad. I was hoping to stop there sometime. I was looking to make sure the '83 or a 63 werent in it. The 62 is valuable but 63 split window is more sought after.

The other ones, not too critical. We lost many more Corvettes of note in Katrina; and surely in Sandy as well.

We have visited there numerous times.

In fact, I stood on that very spot more than once.

Today I'm thinking I really need to lose a few pounds.

    That's really a huge drag.
I was looking at the edges of the collapsed floor and didn't see any rebar
as in steel reenforced concrete. Is there rebar in the concrete?

Ooooh, I can see the '62. The others, no love from me. At least they didn't lose the split window. What dumb luck though, it could have at least been a Dunkin' Donuts or something.
