Kind of reminds me of Backlund's stuff. Either way, it's cool

I like the pickguard, but that relic job looks weird. Guitars don't wear like that do they?

I don't mind it, but it seems to span too close to the edges of the body. Maybe that's just the pic - not mounted?

I like to see a little bit of the body around the perimeter.

I agree, shades of Backlund. And, cool.

Agree. I would make the oval a bit smaller. I was actually thinking that the outline of the Pickguard from the Backlund model 200 would look really nice on a Tele when properly backlund.jpg sized.

I guess I'm old school...not a fan. Different strokes etc.

Yeah, a little more body-reveal at each edge of body and something to see when the t-bridge or Bigsby arrives.
The forearm wear may be a work-in-progress - it may wind up looking like the Roadworn series.
To go further into the school of Backlund, the PG material might be made of that circle-brushed metal [dunno actual name for that machined look]
    Peace - Deeve

It would be fine... With a toggle on the bass side. Too much pickguard otherwise.
