"I like the T-shirt tuxedo. It says 'I'm formal, but I'm here to party' ".
We're talking about stage clothes, not casual wear.
I've never seen people just walking around wearing anything like that anywhere, and I've been everywhere. If I saw Phil Rupp walking down the street dressed like that, in any part of this country, I'd correctly identify him as a western wear history expert and a walking museum.
I love how, in any glam metal band photo, you can always pick out at least one dude whose heart wasn't in it.
Our attire depends on the the nature of the gig (I mean, obviously). For weddings, casinos, and similar events we dress very professionally in dress pants, dress shirts, with custom ties that have our band logo on them. However, in the summer we tend to dress fairly goofy, with ridiculous Hawaiian shirts, hats, and the like. I was particularly proud of my outfit last year.

Problem solved...bad pixel on my phone.Am I losing it or is there a red dot on the pine wall left of the lady stage center? Also if I tilt my phone the dot turns green. I enlarge the picture and the dot disappears.
I believe this is EXACTLY what Frank Zappa had in mind when he wrote the line in "Joe's Garage" somewhere about "snotty boys with lipstick on."
well as the boys at central casting and universal supply agree Chuck Taylors, ,black and white enhance any ensemble, low tops, high tops, any color that Converse make take the cake.Depends on the band, but when in doubt a fitted collared shirt with black jeans. Black Converses for a bit of fun.
