Here's a cool chromatic run Brent Mason played on Alan Jackson's Working Man Hero. Key of E, going from a V to IVto I.
Also works fine going from V to I without the IV

    Hey Ward,

I think it sounds a little more legotto than what you have posted, here is my interpretation

    -------------------------------------5h7-------
    -------------------0--------5--7/8------7br5--
    ----------------2---4-5-6----------------------
    -----------2-4---------------------------------
    ---2--4/5--------------------------------------
    ------------------------------------------------

A great sounding run, never the less. 8) Hope I tabbed that right.

    I vote for this:

You can hear the D and D# overlapping, and then the D# and F overlapping.

Brent goes into this position a lot over a B7. Check out the first bar to the solo of Wade Hayes's "Don't Stop" for another example.

Thanks for the post; I hadn't heard this. Terrific lick.

    Hey dave561,

Take a listen to Daryle Singeltary's "Dim Lights, Thick Smoke" Brent does a very cool open string decending run to bring in the steel guitar lead. I was working on that one, but if someone has it already could you please post it.
There are some great tele licks on this album, not to mention Daryle's great voice. ;)
