Hello,
I'm thinking about assembling a partscaster. Will a Fender U neck fit the neck pocket of a (sea form green) Vintera 60s body? American Performer body?
The objective is to end up with a tele body with my color preference coupled with U neck for my enjoyment.
I can do a fair set up job and have made a number of nuts with StewMac tools. Fret dressing is uncharted territory for me. Years ago, I assembled a Carvin Bolt kit. The aerosol finish was to be translucent green. I studied the procedure for a long time and could easily pass a multiple choice test on the subject. Trying to redo a sand through was a disaster. The Bolt ended up being Dakota Red. No more finishing projects for me!
