Maybe we can trade the Stanley Cup for the NBA title? Would they make that trade?

I lost track of how many lead changes there were.

I think it might have gone to Game 7 if Klay didn't get hurt. He was on fire.

Agreed. GS lost all their swagger when he went out.

And I know it doesn't matter, but I can't help but believe that GS sweeps that series with a healthy KD and Klay. GS was beat up really bad and they were still right there in every game.

I tip my hat to both the St. Louis Blues, and the Toronto Raptors, for their respective championships.

Always cool to see some new participants in the fun of winning the whole thing. Dynasties are over-rated.

I pretty well agree. The Warriors are my favorite dynasty of all time, however.

Yeah Klay was on fire. Injuries played a huge role. But at the end of the day, you play who you’ve got and the Raptors pulled it out. They weren’t pretty the last couple games, but. I’ll take it.

GS deserve a lot of credit for persevering through the injuries.

    Cheers,
    Geoff

You win or lose with the team you can get to the finish line. The better team won. Hell, if Joel Embid doesn’t get a stomach bug halfway through the Raptors - Sixers series, Toronto probably never sees Eastern Conference final. But nobody remembers or cares about that stuff when it’s over. The Raptors are the best team in the NBA this year. They found a way to squeak by the Sixers in seven games and nobody else got past six games. They’re the champions and clearly deserve to be.

Of course. No doubt. I can imagine alternate scenarios though. I have no dog in the fight. I couldn't care less who won. I'm sure I'm not the only one wondering what could have happened had GS been healthier.

The idiots are coming out. Cmon folks. Celebrate. Don’t destroy. I’m not downtown anymore. It’s chill here. This is not an excuse to be an ax hole.

they're just the better team out there.. Lowry killed them at the start, he was just amazing..

Im still clueless as to why GSW chose cousins, he looked so slow on his feet, and cant compete with ibaka or siakam

Good series. GS played admirably, considering the injuries.

Health and fitness is part of sport.

    Congrats TO!

Thanks. I'm not much of a sports guy, but it's great for the city!

Personally, hailing from the Canadian West, I can’t politically pull for The Centre of the Universe...they won’t let the rest of the country live without it! If you lived up here for as many decades, you’d understand the dynamics...isn’t it, World Champions?

Congratulations Raptors! You pulled it out through a full season of games and some tough series in the post-season, getting to and through a championship game is a long haul with many challenges on the way, Toronto should be proud of its team.

Congrats Raptors. I relocated to Ottawa in April, just in time to enjoy the ride.

Interesting perspective. Both the Raptors and Jays certainly like to promote themselves as Canada’s National teams.
