My mom's basement.
Two of my kids and wife have said do TikTok vs see some of that stuff re-broadcast. They probably don't get a lot of my Facebook and Instagram check in is because I am on a team that has commercial sites.

Well, now I have to admit I dozed off to more than an hour of watching how Homo sapiens can at once be super creative and super dumb.

I know this is nothing new but I'm the sort of viewer who's still not seen or finished popular stuff on Netflix. I'm more prone to watch some YouTube content people or like yesterday go ride a bicycle even though it's freezing outside.

:)

P.S. I love the stuff people with natural athletic and music talent can do but it seems like the social media giants don't know you're not looking for crazy stuff, porn or fail videos if you like/favorite some of that.

It's fun and depressing at the same time. I think I spent an hour in before it was like 'alright, enough'. I'm still anti-social media, so I don't post, update my name beyond "user", and don't 'like' or follow anyone. Still, the stuff people share with me that I end up watching will contribute, along with whatever data the app taps into. Cats writing letters to Santa, didn't know I'd like that 😅😅

I should probably change my user name to Cro Magnon. I don’t use Facebook, Twitter, Tik Tok or any social media except TDPRI. And If TDPRI isn’t a rabbit hole, I don’t know what is. I must be hopelessly out of date. I don’t even have a wah or distortion pedal.
Yeah, but you do have some pretty fancy cars! ;)

Did you know that I can use my BMW’s as mobile wireless hot spots? Who’d a thought? The red light and speed cam app works through it. That app has paid for itself already.

I'll betcha when that hot momma of yours is out blasting through speed traps that high tech stuff is workin' overtime!

I've never watched a TikToc video. Many of the folks where I work talk about the latest/craziest vid; I like to be entertained like anyone else, but I'm just not interested.

TikTok... yes, very amusing for the dumb-a$$es who practise the latest fads like covering people's door steps or cars with baked beans, knocking on doors and running away etc. This Telecastrian isn't amused.
The juveniles don't consider that their antics might affect the aged, infirm or sleeping babies as well as being plain darned annoying. Yes, I'm on the sharp end of it and it well-exceeds my humour bandwidth.
We all did silly things when we were young but these days the instant mass gratification peddled by 'social media' encourages waves of harassment.
I wonder how these kids would feel if their 'jolly japes' were turned upon them or their families.
(I'm not usually bugged by practical jokes but they stop being funny when repeated.)
Hmmm, back to being .

Momma was out with the Z4 today to get the rust off the rotors. She went for a COVID PCR before a CAT scan. She'll start heating up on February 6 when radiation treatments start but that will have nothing to do with the car.

I wish her the best, and you too!

It's not all totally silly. I should add this to my Great Lakes thread. This guy has a few interesting posts on the "boats".
