These are way cool!
excellent thread, I have a few postcard sized ones I am trying to choose a framing style for.
I, for one, would never get that tattooed on my shoulder, especially not when I was 17...
So flipping cool. John McGeoch for the absolute win. Underrated as hell.
When my daughter was 14 she asked to go see Blink 182, so we went.
This is the poster we got her for her to memorialize first concert, she has since graduated to more "punk" stuff.
My "work from home" office is her bedroom while she is living on campus. since I am in her room it's easy to post these.
She got his one after we went to the Houston Rodeo, I think the skeleton cowboy is cool
This a locally made poster for a car show we used to have here in Houston.
At the bottom you see the bands that played. Archie Bell was great, as were the other bands
also seriously this filter is out of control - censoring words in a url, when they're out of any context? i had the hardest time posting this.
I've tried to post about Cocksparrer before and I feel your pain, bats out.
Wow, what a lineup! (The Graham memorial)
Nice collection.Do you collect only FD and BG?
That was one of the most amazing days not just of music but of life! I will always remember that day!
Anyone have a Jethro Tull poster from the late 60s early 70s?
I have somewhere between 50 and 100 signed/numbered framed concert posters from Phish/Lotus/Yonder/Umphreys McGee. I don't even have room to put them all up. I keep most of them in closets and rotate what's on the walls every few months
I eventually want to build a huge detached garage/jam center and hang them all up
I am kind of in the same boat way more art than wall space!
I rotate mine too.I've been collecting for 25 yrs.Posters,handbills,flyers,postcards,ect.I have alot in poster folders. They are books with plastic sleeves 2 1/2 x 4.I used to store them in an architec's file cabinet.I also started framing them myself,as it got too expensive to have someone do it.I just came back from Goodwill where I picked up some cool old frames for $6 each.Or go to AmericanFrame.I sell some on the poster auctions once in a while.
