so far 64$ but not done yet
I've been watching this build quite a lot. Your jigs and low-tech techniques are very nice.
The only thing I kind of wish (and it is really a hindsight is 20/20 kind of thing) is the ferrels...it would have been nice to have curved them a bit, to reinforce the pearl necklace idea. Given that you made your own bridge, you could have made it happen!
I too was born on planet Akron and raised by Ghoulardi. I'm 8 years, well, 9 next month, older than you. Where did you go to school and where did you live?
My Mom is in a retirement home in Montrose and my older sis lives in Copley.
Ellet, Ellet, near the Rubber Bowl
Greetings from back home! Most of the snow's gone.
I'd say we have a winner and the winner worked at the lowest hourly rate.
Sorry to be the 100th to say this but this build is totally awesome!
The only thing though for me is i wished you somehow did white ferrules to make it look like pearls, but hey your the artist, and it still looks fantastic.
Hats off to you
well today I put this together with what I had, check it out and tell me what you think, not sure what kind of caps i was using, if they dont have uF on them I dont know what they are, but I pluged it in and it works, not enough hands to photograph and solder at the same time
had to buy these
got the pickguard on
and control plate on
and this thing
and in this corner weighing in at 6 lb 13 oz and still under $100
it aint over till it's over and I'm not done yet
and I'm playing it tonight
What's left beside strap buttons and a possible headstock logo?
Very cool....I love it...and you made it fun to follow along bro....good on you
good eye, waiting on decal sheets, not sure what to use for strap buttons yet, maybe some maple knobs and different tone caps, maybe a string retainer
Don't finish it man...please............what will I do while I drink my mornin' coffee from now on. The least you can do is slow down.
BTW.. what kind of falcon was that in the earlier pics? I wanna know dammit.
and now the movie folks
I do a little animation now and then
recorded and drawn by Dr. Tweedbucket
animated by scatter lee
some kind of hawk, i really dont know
The range of your talent & ingenuity is astounding...
the matter-of-fact way in which you present it is even more so !
The spirit of Leo lives on in this build; hopefully this will end up in
the hands of a player who will spend the next 30 or 40 years 'relic'ing
it the natural way !
