If scatter can't see thats one thing... but other than that I'd have to agree. Adding anything to that wood may just take away... but then again he'll come up with something great to inlay.. like gator faces peering over the water:D

tip of the day, homemade brad point drill bit

I no longer see straight lines, I could not center this bit on a mark, not to mention these bits drift

I used to clap down the dremel, now I just hold it by hand (and lower the bit onto the cutter disk while taking pics)

    real easy

    test hole

i think these are the most perfect holes i ever drilled

    Looking great, Scatter.

Those dots look like pearl, but in an earlier picture it looked like you had a dot molding/baking plate in the shot. Do you have some kind of goop to mold pearl dots from?

    Thanks,
    Rex

I was shocked to see your "neckholder" !!! I couldn't drill two large holes in such a beautiful piece of wood as that!

that piece has been around a couple years, checks and cracked to bad to use but solid enough to use for something like that

    That looks so good.

I need a neck holding jig too. Probably wouldn't be quite as easy with my angled headstocks, but some angled shims should help.
