I like the hammering on your truss rod - because that is what I did most recently on mine, lol.

Beautiful wood and the work on the body looks gorgeous.

Seeing the jigs in this thread makes me realize how widely
used Scatter Lee's jigs are around TDPRI.

    (I deleted a video -- shouldn't have polluted Scatter Lee's
    build thread with it)

Jesus man...I'm just dumbfounded. I'm just waiting for the toothpick, chewing gum and paper clip.

What scatter can do with just air I would need a whole shop for and a lot more talent....

    Awesome build thread.

    Really awesome.

So, where do you have to sit to have a piece of rosewood like that fall in your lap?

    This is looking so good!

it's a cool vid, i used to four track cassette tapes and edit vhs tapes long ago, it was so easy, got programs on the computer now and have a hard time recording one track

just got lucky, found a furniture maker deep in the forest that has been collecting wood for 30 years, giant slabs of ebony too, the rosewood slab i got was just a cut off, i think he thought he was overcharging me, i hope to get more.

That's a beautiful machine you're building there. If 'twere I, I'd skip the position marker dots entirely and let that lovely rosewood carry the burden of lookin' lovely. Side dots alone are sufficient, if you need a visual cue to where you are. But that having been said - there's nothing inherently wrong with a nice piece of mother-of-pearl. Thanks for sharing your progress through this awesome project.

that tie dye fender in the pic i measured frets from don't have dots and it's hard for me to get used to, i don't have the eyes to see the side dots to well
