The guitar looks fantastic. Can't wait to hear it!
You sir, have a very special gift. Can't wait to hear it.
I made a test vid the other day and it took 3 hours to download to youtube. I'm on a backup pc running XP, not really compatible with anything anymore.
still need to do a fret leveling, i'll let the neck rest awhile under string tension and keep an eye on it before i do
meanwhile, back in the jungle
This is an inspiration to a beginning builder like myself.
That pic reminds me of the Green on Red album Here Come the Snakes.
I'm torn here: I love rosewood to bits, and your build is an absolute benchmark. But pretty much the only thing I like about strats is how comfortable they are to play.
When I see builds I always ask myself whether I could see myself playing it - and I never do with an SSS strat.
Having set that, I think you've set the standard.
Awesome strat, Scatter!!!
Very beautiful! Your craftsmanship is inspiring.
It's a beauty!
Wow, you built a time machine too?! [emoji41]
Jimi looks good playing it! He look surprized though, maybe it is lighter than he thought it would be.
Great build! Great photoshop skills!
Why is there someone from the old Testament watching Jimi play?
nice classy strat!
may as well knock out another one man, plenty of time
+1. How about a matching Tele? They would look brilliant next to each other
Hey, who's that guy playing Scatter's Strat?
i'm not done with this thing yet
this does a quick job shaping
300 grit diamond file
before and after
sanded with 600 and 1500 grit paper
third time rewiring, the guitar is pretty bright, gave the bridge pickup it's own tone cap, did the trick, with the fret leveling, new wiring and restrung with number 9's this is sounding great
this is the wiring i ended up using
caps are .047, the only ones i had in the house
i guess i still have time to shield the pickups if i need to
