Thanks for the comments gentlemen. Something which I don't think was demonstrated was the sustain of this unit which just goes on and on, which in itself I don't believe is such an important factor, but believe that on this guitar which is basically a neck with some bumper bars on the sides, the sustain comes from the multi tenon join which is machined to be an almost perfect fit, as well as the twin square and dowelled C.F. "truss rods" whose cavities are also as near to perfect fit as I could get. These are then held down tightly by the fret board with no cavities or looseness and seem to act as a solid neck. I have used steel bar and round C.F. before but these square section rods seem just perfect for the purpose. Not sure of the mechanics of this but you more experienced guys might have a handle on that.

Dave, regarding sustain, I think it is all in your trapezoid neck. I am sure the Carbon Fiber Neck Rods did not hurt but my guess is the mass of the neck. I made a trap neck as a test for last years challenge...that actually got me disqualified because of last years rules....I screwed the neck to a 2x6 1.5 inch thick piece of redwood lumber...dropped in a pickup. I did like the neck but in the end it was just too radical for me. The sustain also surprised me. And on last years challenge the neck I did make was a baseball style neck. It has the most sustain of any of my guitars.

No bottles in these units Rob. The red one is programmable and I have written a few patches for it which aren't too bad at all. I was tempted to do my comp. video with the red Korg. and play a little Accadacca but the actual tone of the guitar is lost when you use a "distortion box"

This little guitar is a pretty good rock unit, a lot better than I can play now, so I went with the straight amp, no frills or embellishments at all.
