Hey everyone! I thought you might dig this. I made a quick video comparing my all original 1964 Fender Deluxe Reverb to my Tone King Imperial (on the rhythm channel). Extra bonus, I am playing one of my favorite teles -- a partscaster I built with my grandfather right before he passed. It's a fantastic playing guitar with Texas Specials for pickups.

Nice demo! I like less talk and more show!
Both sound great. I'd say the Tone King is just a touch more compressed. It would be interesting to know what speakers are in them as speakers make such a big difference sometimes. But I doubt that has anything to do with the speaker.

Thank you! That is certainly how I try to do demos. It bothers me when I click on a demo video, and have to sit through several minutes of someone talking about the piece of gear before I actually get to hear it. Thank you for watching! Like I said, I love both of these amps, but this is the first time I really did a side-by-side and it surprised even me.

Now THAT’S the way a comparison video should be done! Tasty playing as well. Great job.

Thanks! I try to take the “shut up and play” approach and let people listen and come up with their own opinions.

DR sounds a little looser, in a good way.

    Nicely done, @Cody_J!

Personally, I prefer the Deluxe Reverb.

They sound similar, but it ain't how they sound to the listener...it's how they feel & respond when YOU are playing them.

    very cool.
now you can do a demo with a tweed deluxe and the lead channel!

and then a demo with something else and the wild knob.... maybe a little marshall or an orange...

    lots of fun!

well done demo! Both sound alike but I like the bit more looseness I hear in the deluxe...might just be my bias toward deluxe reverbs though
