I’ve seen that too.Deleting data from company servers has gotten two people I knew promoted, maybe that's what the AI program's real plan was.
When I protested I was told by management I’m an analyst and Mr Delete is an enthusiast and enthusiasts get things done.
Unfortunately we had this conversation AFTER I resolved the issue.

The early years of The Simpsons ingrained so many robot jokes into me. One of our engineers would joke "I hate it when they scream like that." at the noise the robotic cameras made every time we shut them down. It got me every time.

Had that happen, too. Guy in the next cube had stuff with a power supply that would screech a warning every time it lost power. His job was to make it so the right things when it did lose power. Nearly drove me batty until I figured it out. That guy had no high frequency hearing so it never bothered him.
