Dang, what a shame. I saw him a few years ago with Bill Kirchen and he still had it.

    RIP George.
When we were just starting out we just wanted to be that cool, and we never were.

RIP Commander. I'm a huge fan. I first heard of Bill Kirchen when he played with CC&LPA. CC had a place in New Hampshire for a while, we used to see him all over New England. Who doesn't love, Down to Seeds and Stems Again?

I only saw them once, fronting for the Byrds in 1971 IIRC and my friend thought they blew away an excellent Byrds set. Not sure about that but man, what a band.

    RIP!

Great fun band. I first saw them in 1972 (I believe) when they opened for Jefferson Airplane at Gaelic Park.
    R.I.P. George, and thanks.
