I don't want Bama or Clempson to squeeze in, and don't really want OSU to weasel in. But I suspect Georgia is going to get OSU in the semifinal game.

Michigan will likely play TCU next.

I too wish USC had made it in, I have never seen UGA play USC but would like to see that matchup.

Well, there we have it. M vs TCU. I would, of course, like to see Georgia crush OSU.

I think the championship games are very anticlimactic, at least in the Big 10. You cannot have M-OSU in top shape square off only for the winner to have to collect their crap together and face an inferior but highly motivated team just a week later.

What 12 teams would you want this year?

Which of those 12 do you think would not get blown out?

One strange reality of the BCS and small CFP playoff systems is the number of lopsided outcomes and teams that just did not seem to belong there.
Blowouts happen in playoffs, super bowls, and CFB championships all the time Did Bama get blown out by UGA last year? Guess they shouldn't have been let in, right?

Would liked to have seen both USC and TCU win their conf championships, but so it goes.

I figure it'll be Dawgs beating UM in championship, but never know.

The nation is likely to see UGA play TCU in the national championship game after both teams from the Big Teen conference lose in the semifinals.

Let the trash talk roll!

Pee Wee Bennett is a Heisman finalist along with Williams of USC, Dugan of TCU, and Stroud of OSU. All the finalists are QB's, and three of the four finalists will be playing in the semifinals. If USC had not laid that egg last Friday, all 4 finalists would be in the playoffs.

Bennett won the Bulsworth Trophy for best player that started as a walk on.

Josh Heupel was voted coach of the year in the SEC.

I think Colorado and Colorado State are both very difficult coaching jobs. The population of CO is not huge and it does not produce an abundance of FBS and NFL talent while having two FBS programs and some lesser college programs. One will have to recruit well out of state in competition with many others to make it work.

I infer that a coach will have to recruit TX and CA well and even snatch some players from the SE and NE to field a good team.

The Army-Navy game will be played tomorrow at 3PM EST.

The Heisman Trophy will be awarded on Saturday evening. It appears that Caleb Williams will win it. I do not think that Pee Wee Bennett will.

As a UGA alum so would I! That said, of all the teams in the running for the playoffs, OSU is the one that scares me the most. They've got a ton of talent on offense, and really improved the defense as well. If we can get past OSU, I'm not that worried about Michigan or TCU.

Caleb is a shoe in to win the Heisman, and I don't have any problem with him winning. I'm just happy to see Bennett finally getting some recognition. His reputation as a game manager grossly underrates his athleticism and playmaking skills.

Pee Wee Bennet finished fourth in the Heisman voting, but it is quite an accomplishment for him to just earn enough votes for an invitation. Hopefully, he channels his energy toward destroying the next two teams with minimal mistakes.

The teams really need someone to provide sartorial advice to the candidates. Caleb Williams and C.J. Stroud showed up for a big, nationally televised Heisman event dressed in heinous clown suits.

I'm ready for the playoffs to start, the next few weeks will be boring.

I tried to watch the Army-Navy game on Saturday and was bored for most of it. In addition, the Army uniforms were an eyesore that were hard to view. The Army football program is in need of some quality sartorial advice as well.

All true, but Deion will have the benefit of being on ESPN almost daily. The bigger the mouth, the more ESPN will adore him.

The bowl season is under way. I watched a little bit of the Florida-OR State game on Saturday and UF did not look good at all. UF's QB opted out along with some others, their good pass rusher, Brenton Cox (who transferred from Georgia after getting into the doghouse) id not play after being dismissed from the team, and they had the usual absences due to injuries. UF had to kick a field goal to avoid a shutout by a PAC team.

I don't really see any matchups that look interesting until about December 29. There are too many bowl games.

The bowl season is about to start in earnest. There is a game between ranked teams tonight at 9 PM EST that may be of interest and another tomorrow night between Tenn. and ClemPson. But the real games start on Saturday at 4 PM EST and the bigger one to me is UGA-OSU at 8 PM.

I hope Georgia's coaching staff has the team ready to play, especially the secondary, which gave up a ridiculous amount of yards to LSU in the second half of the SEC CG. UGA needs to play defense against OSU the way it did against Tennessee earlier in the year and keep massive pressure on the QB to prevent him from having abundant time to pass. That will transfer the load to the front 6 or 7 and take it off the secondary.

I predict UGA vs Mich, but would love to see a Big10 rematch, that would be the most compelling championship game to me. Don't care much for UGA but just tired of them more than anything. They have definitely been consistently the best team this year, I have to acknowledge that.

A lot of Barners are pulling against UGA because they know the Barn needs to close the gap in recruiting with UGA for Georgia players to become a competitive team again.

Losing frequently to both Bammer and UGA is the end of the Auburn coach.

I think Michigan TCU will be close. I can’t call a winner. Georgia will make light work of Ohio State. Sorry.

Kind of getting tired of Buckeyes getting walked into the playoffs for ratings every year.

The UNC Oregon was a really fun game to watch. As was Kansas Arkansas.

Not surprised about Texas Tech spanking Ole Miss. Tech ends up with all the chippy recruits, at their best they can beat almost anyone. They should never be underestimated.

As much as I dislike GA, I do like Kirby Smart...and I'll always root for any SEC team in the big game. Saturday will be the Sugarbowl (AL v KSU) and then the rest running in the background all day.

I will grin mightily if AL wins, OH loses and we go out 12-2 together. 😁
