    Michigan won.

I didn’t see it but it it sure sounded ugly.

Not gonna get a chance to go to a game this year. Didn’t last year either come to think of it.

    Cheers,
    Geoff

Texas, for all practical purposes, had a huge hand in beating themselves. Three times they had a great chance to score and didn’t. Maybe one of those 4th down goal line stands could have made the difference. Injuries were another issue, but that is football
Texas may have lost but there is no way they should hang their heads. Shrug it off and regroup on Monday. Still a lot of football to be played
I’m looking forward to LSU playing Bama, Auburn, A&M. At least teams with some challenge in the game

We may be 1-1 but I wore my burnt orange cap this morning and proudly said, “Hook ‘Em Horns”

Army dang near beat Meechigan, and it would have been funny. But maybe not as funny to people in SEC country as 10RC losing the first two in a row to Georgia State and BYU.:lol:

It was a great game. Much is made of Ingram’s drop but LSU had a dropped TD pass as well. Neither defense could stop the other. Geaux Tigers. Ps: you should wear your team colors even after a loss. I remember returning home from Baton Rouge after LSU beat Florida in 2005. Not a single Gator fan on the plane was wearing orange and blue.

Agreed that is was an intense game. I wore another 2” trough in the tile floor in front of the tv. This is getting expensive retiling the floor 3-4 times a year
Just a play or two could have made a difference in the final score.
We’re still rebuilding but almost back. We’ll see how LSU does against some SEC teams. I’d love another shot at LSU this season

I’ll wear my Texas stuff without impunity

LSU should be favored in every game other than Alabama. Our other big games are all at home. Texas should return to the Big 12 Championship Game but I doubt you’ll see us again until next fall in Tiger Stadium. I think both LSU and Texas will get better as the season progresses barring injury. Good luck to you.

Washington State is the only ranked team playing tonight, and that is against Houston at 9:15 EDT.

I don't see a lot of exciting matchups of two ranked teams this weekend. ClemPson-Syracuse has some potential because of what happened last year and that may be good for a half.

Notre Dame is rolling into Athens this weekend and CBS picked up the game as part of a double header for 8 PM broadcast that follows the usual 3:30 SEC game of the week (The Barn at TAMU). ESPN's College Gameday crew is going to be on campus which is usually a bad luck event for UGA.

Tulane made a game of it in the second half, came back, and beat Houston by 7. I did not watch the entire game but TU made it interesting late.

The local govt. in Athens, GA expects 210,000 people in town on Saturday for the ND-UGA game. I am told by people in Athens it is already crowded and a lot of cops from surrounding jurisdictions have been brought in for assistance. A few people on this forum live in Athens and nearby and I am sure the weekend traffic is going to be a lot of fun for them.

I hope UGA does not lay an egg in prime time.

The Auburn-TAMU game is on an 3:30 tomorrow on CBS and is an interesting matchup. TAMU has not done anything big this year and did not look great against ClemPson, but admittedly they were at CU. It will be intriguing to see how well TAMU plays at home.

    I’m looking forward to UGA-ND. I hope it’s a good game
We have OSU coming to town. It should be a good test of the Texas defense

Boise State beat Portland State 45-10 last weekend. Air Force tonight.

Not yesterday. We saw happy people in red and white all day, sad people in maize in blue later in the day. I'm not particularly into football but when you live in a big college area and work near campus you can't avoid it. Our daughter said she lost her voice but was not sick. I forgot to ask if she went to the game.

In late afternoon we were surprised by the Michigan buses with such a big university police and county sheriff depts escort and their going north side of the lake. I took that as modern precaution for some fans taking things too seriously.

This stuff is pretty big business even though the university's real job is educate and research. Our house is 6 mi from the stadium and all the rooms and eating places near us fill up on game days.

Georgia pulled it out against ND but it was not pretty or impressive. UGA's D could not cover the two big ND receivers nos. 83 and 84. The D did shut ND down in the 3d quarter but looked awful in the 4th and almost lost it.

The new OC thought he would do something cute and different in the first half and it was not impressive. If he wanted to do something different, he should have used formations with 4 running backs on the field at a time and let the D try to figure it out. And call running plays with various combinations of the center, guard, and tackles pulling and blocking outside. But whatever he does, just run the damn ball and use the deep backfield to wear down the opponent's D for the 4th quarter.

Auburn beat TAMU by 8 in College Station. AU may give Bammer and LSU a pretty good challenge for the west this year, along with the rest of the conference. LSU may prove to be the better team in the west this year.

Notre Dame was pretty bad at acting and faking injuries Saturday night to slow down UGA's offense when it was on a roll. There is a parody now available for our viewing pleasure.

Boise State moves up to #16 in the AP ranking. UNLV next.
