It will be a strange one. Please do not discuss the forbidden topics and get this thread shut down.

The games I have seen [in part] played so far, Army-MTSU, Marshall-EKU, and Navy-BYU have been lopsided and not particularly interesting. Hopefully those this weekend will be more entertaining for 4 quarters.

Longhorns kick off tomorrow night at 8:00 against UTEP
The weird one will be against OU in the Cotton Bowl with no Texas State Fair

Ill watch some here and there but with 2 major conferences not even involved, this season wont count for much in my opinion.

    NFL all the way!

Yes, I'm ready too. I don't know how we could top 2019 but I think we surprise folks who have already written us off.
At the same time, we can expect some strange twists during the season, however long it lasts. I hate to quote any Gump* but it will truly be "like a box of chocolates."

*For those that don't follow college football, but stating the obvious, "Gump" refers to the Crimson Tide of Alabama.

Gosh the tailgating fan insanity is more than half the fun!

Looks like 20-25% full stadiums is it...

I don't know if I can get into such a sterile environment...

Normally I drop $60 a month for Youtube TV to watch as many as possible....not this year...

    Bummer...

The lack of self control for adults on this and other forums drives me effin' crazy. I specifically asked people to refrain from opening the cans of worms that derail the thread or get it closed down. If you are not adding anything, why not keep it to yourself rather than just piss on the topic of the thread?

    It is like Homer Simpson,
    "Must...control...urge...to...share...my...irrelevant...opinion."

I don't think LSU will be nearly as good without Brady, the passing coach, et al, but the team will not be bad either.

I believe the competition for the top slot in the SEC West between Bammer, Auburn, LSU, and TAMU will be more competitive than the East. The East appears to Georgia and Florida, but S.C., TN and KY should not be mere doormats. It's early, we have not seen any of them play, but conjecture and speculation about who will be good is part of the fun.

    We are an LSU family.
The wife and I are alumni.
My oldest boy is there now.

    Geaux Tigahs!

Having said that, I’ll watch, at least a little bit of, most any game that has an SEC team playing.

I think that's a common misconception. It's not the loss of Brady. It's the loss of a transformative quarterback in Burrow and 17 starters. Brady brought in a playbook and concepts. He didn't call plays. Ensminger understands the offense. He's a former LSU quarterback whose nickname was "slinger" and he did a fair job of coaching Eric Zeier when he was at UGa.
LSU, like Georgia and Bama is loaded with talent. It's just inexperienced. There's no way we can repeat the performance of last year. I would be shocked if we didn't beat Auburn and aTm. I'm not sure why either is hyped.

I meant Burrow and called him Brady.

I just have no incentive to watch when many teams aren't playing. I started one but... meh. It seems I'm always looking for the next star, and will he take his team to the playoffs? Will the underdog become top dog? etc... but, the playoffs/title will mean ....nothing this year. maybe that will change, just how I feel right now.

Penn State here! The Big 10 said no, and I am glad in a way. No sense taking a chance with an active virus.

Don’t get me wrong, because I will miss college football. But, I guess I will watch the conferences that chose to play.

I'm happy it's back. I've been watching and I hope they can keep themselves safe along the way. Kind of a downer without the Big 10 and Pac 12 playing. But it looks like each of them will revisit their decision to not start the season.

Gonna be a weird one. Another excuse to sit at home and play instead of getting piss drunk.
