It's getting to that time of year again! March Madness coming up soon. Who is it going to be this year? Sampson has been building up speed with Houston the last several years and Purdue has some guns. UCLA popping back into the Top 10 and of course Kansas, Baylor, Virginia, Gonzaga all staying up close. Of course my team Syracuse is floundering again this year starting three freshmen every game but they are fun to watch. They are definitely not in at this point. Need some March Miracles for them to make it to the dance.
So who is your team and what are your guesses? If you would like I will run my March Madness Challenge with prize, I imagine it has been more than 10 years going now. Hope everyone is well and I look forward to reading about your picks and pans!

Man this year is so up in the air. The teams that I thought would dominate (Gonzaga, Kentucky, UNC) all kind of haven't lived up to what I thought they would do this year.

Then their have been the up and comers, I think this year is wide open!

Wouldn't it be fitting--the ways things are today--if a fine, upstanding program like Alabama claimed the national title.

My second choice would be equally upstanding New Mexico State, but they shut their program down (plus, they were no good anyway).

I'm going to the UCLA basketball game tonight at Pauley Pavilion with my younger daughter, who hopes to attend (acceptance notices come later this month). I'm a UCLA graduate, but this will be my first time seeing them play in-person.
My niece, UCLA current student, and my friend Jen, UCLA Grad, will be at the game. I can remember for years watching the delayed broadcast on channels 9 or 11 way back when. That was before I went back east to college. But I went to Syracuse so that is a total Madness school.

UNC grad/fan here. Very disappointing season. Even if we make the dance, we won't go far, unless we have the miracle finish we had last year. Got d00k this Saturday and then the ACC Tournament. That will probably end it for us. UNC. NIT. Wait and see.

Winner is a toss-up, but Kansas is always a good bet.

I actually scheduled my hip replacement for last week, so I can be at home in recovery during the first few weeks of March. So I'm currently homebound and ready to start filling out brackets.

It looked like my beloved Cats would flounder this year, but Cal has pulled them together just in time, and despite last night's loss to Vandy, I think that we're primed for a run.

I'll root for any SEC team, unless we're playing them, and both 'Bama and Tennessee look good this year.

Other than that, there will be the teams that I root against: Duke and UCLA. I actually like Cronin as a coach quite a bit (I became a fan when he was at Cincinnati), but UCLA is the only school that has more Tourney titles than Kentucky, so I've got to root against them out of principle.

Regardless, I'm looking forward to watching tons of college ball.

The Green Bay Packers.

This year its going to be hard not going chalk. At least I don't have to worry about Wisconsin messing up my bracket.
