You should have at least called them on the phone. If nobody complains, they're never gonna find that dead mouse inside the machine.

Lawyer I know says this all the time

If someone says 'good food', they mean 'big portions', and 'lots of flavour' means ' too much salt'

For what is is worth, I always preferred a percolator for coffee. I have a few people in my family that like trying various coffees in various ways (including grinding coffee beans and french pressing with exactly perfect water temperature).

But my tastes are always for the mellower flavors, I don't like dark roast as much (bitter). The percolated coffee is best for my tastes.

My condolences for going to a coffee shop and not getting good coffee

I stopped getting coffee at Starbuck's years ago because it all started to taste burnt to me. And it's almost the same cost as human blood and even printer ink refills at places like that.

There are other better and cheaper options like Dunkin' Donuts and McDonald's if you want a good cup of coffee. If you want actual food, however, you won't find any at McDonald's.

Coffee in Scandinavia is on a whole other level. You can get a cup at a gas station in the middle of nowhere and it will, 99% of the time, taste great! Let's not get started with the proper coffeehouses... That's why these people drink the most coffee in the world per capita. ;)

    Coffee is coffee.

    Espresso is espresso.

    Pick one.

Using espresso to flavor regular coffee does not speak well of the regular coffee. A good dark roast shouldn't need a shot of anything.

What the OP is doing is like mixing Regular and Hi-test gasoline. It might make some kind of difference or appear to fit some sort of logical reduction, but seriously, why bother? Just use one or the other.

A good cup of coffee or a good cup of espresso. Yes, please!

NB: I use a Hamilton Beach drip coffee maker (Consumer Reports' highest recommendation) and Melitta European Roast coffee at home. I have yet to find a coffee retailer that can match it. So, since Melitta is like $3 a can, why on Earth would I spend $5 on a single cup of coffee? It makes no sense to me.

While I enjoy my aeropress or french press, I go thru phases. Right now I'm in a Keurig & Cafe Bustelo espresso grind phase. Button #2, 14oz, strong.

I buy roasted beans, usually African (Ethiopian or Yemeni) but also Sumatran. They run about $17/lb...which equates to $0.50~0.60 per 12oz cup the way I make it. Been doing that a lot of years...know what I like. I hand grind for each cup.

I grew up on USN perk, later drip. Drank around a quart of office coffee a day for 40+ yrs. My brother and I would ride bikes every Sunday morning and stop at Starbucks for coffee...but it was nuthin special. We moved up the street to Panera for better coffee.

I buy from The Kaffeeklatch in Huntsville, Al. They've been roasting there since the 70s...order online.

I have one of those. Stainless Steel....

It’s my weekend treat making a few shots of coffee on the stove and frothing up some milk to go with it... there is no richer tasting coffee method.

Rest of the time my grinder and espresso machine will make anything I want. It really is an incredible annual cost getting run of the mill poor coffee from penny pinching franchises daily.

I started brewing my own, better coffee for in a flask for trips a few years ago and was saving £20-30 a week!

Community dark roast (made in Louisiana) and my 4 cup el cheapo coffee maker. I drink it black out of a blender pitcher because I don’t have a coffee cup.

Stone Fruit is a local micro roaster. Owned by a nice guy I met when he just had one store. Fair trade beans shipped to my house. Ground each day in a low speed mill grinder. Made in a Braun drip maker using double filtered well water.

Might have an cup of Keurig later at the workshop for lunch.

    I enjoy coffee.
