I think we might have very different ideas about what silly means, and perhaps about what drug addiction and mental illness are...

    ...but whatever.

When I saw nirvana, what really impressed me, was how note perfect the show was. The feedback everything, it was crazy.

Yeah I will give you that one , but the drug addiction is nothing new and as terrible as it is it touches every one , like cancer you will have met , lived, or known , some one with that illness, and you cannot help them, they need to want the help as much as they want the drugs, and for that I am truely sorry for him, we can speculate till the cows come home on this one but as epathetic as we can be , we were not there,

Could be a record for a MIJ guitar. I doubt anything by Fujigen as ever got close to even the current bid.
I bet the sweater beats the guitar for money too.

The star of the auction though should be Greg Lakes Kemper

And they're still trying to sell this:

The Elvis had it for a day Rosewood tele.

Oddest guitar to have a high estimate must be this one 80 thousand for an "ORIANTHI THIS IS IT STAGE PLAYED GUITAR"

Both of the fender reissues of that Jaguar that I played have been really good.

That wasn't a coronet. It was a Japanese made ET-270.

I was the one who found out that that particular jag used to belong to a hired gun guitarist called Martin Jenner, who worked with Cliff Richard and the Everly Brothers.
Three knobs, the toggle switch and twin Dimarzio pickups, those mods were too unique. At certain points in the video of which this still comes from we get to see how Jenner straps the guitar from the lower bout to improve it's balance. When Kurt got the guitar it still had that strap button on the lower bout.

I was a massive nirvana fan loved mustangs! I have owned seven of them but sadly in my old age i grew out of all that and ended up hating mustangs with all their quirks! but this was my fave guitar for years, 70's mustang refined in green/blue full (1).jpg

One time the band Eyes Adrift played at the venue where I worked. That was Curt from the Meat puppets, Crist Novocelic, and Bud Gaugh (drummer from Sublime). Their sound dude pulled out a pair of Audix OM-7 microphone that had last been used at the last Nirvana show. Oh god the smell - they'd been put away wet and sat in a mic bag for almost a decade.

So anyway it would seem that I have inhaled some Kurt Cobain DNA.

I lost my older brother to a heroine OD many years back so the question for me is ....
why would a junkie end it all with a messy gun when he could end it with an OD of his favorite flavor of debachery?
    Just sayin!.......

I find it unusual that any intelligent , talented person would take dangerous substances resulting in their death.
