Found it on Kijiji here in Canada. I have no idea how it got to me in such good condition. Plays great, sounds great, feels great and is very cool.

I have a GFS Gold Foil (middle) pickup in the neck of my Squier '51. I like it. Sounds halfway between a lipstick and a Strat pickup, maybe?

    Ciao!
Sorry for being late but I have been incredibly busy with my job.
Unfortunately the ad has disappeared, it was a too good price for that guitar.
    Good luck for your search!

Anyone have a source or info on some better quality tuners that are an exact fit for the 51s? No drilling... ?

Considering upgrading the tuners on both of my 51s.

    TIA...

The ones I put on mine required drilling a little hole to secure the tuner itself as well as some conversion bushings. They were an improvement over stock, but not as dramatically as I would have expected. The big bonus is that they are vintage-style which I find much easier to string up.

    Marnold,

    Are you anywhere near Rhinelander?

My son and I go to a camp in Rhinelander every summer, that's why I ask.

I’ve been looking for one of these for a while now. Found this on Craigslist with a small practice amp, boss distortion pedal, soft case , metronome, picks and a chord buddy listed at $100. I think the owner thought it was just another squire bullet strat. I negotiated a better price, took it home, cleaned it up and am now very happy with it. What a budget screamer. Stock for now.

Lol. I was prepared to pay the $100. In fact I rushed out at 8:30pm to grab it because I figured it was such a good price. I threw out a cheeky $80 offer and it was accepted. I couldn’t believe my luck.
