I heard that Clive Brown might have did the whole first batch of Nachocaster's Blackguard Telecasters. Does anybody know for sure?

I introduced Clive and Nacho together and Clive did some early work on Nacho's guitars. On one visit to his workshop in Ripon, Clive showed me a Broadcaster of Nacho's he was working on.

One of the first Nachocasters, Bill Hullett's replica 0514, Clive produced the finish on the neck but I got the impression that all Nachocasters are produced in Spain. I don't know for sure as I haven't spoken to either of them for some time, but that's my impression.

    I have a Nachocaster!

It is a fantastic guitar period.
Nacho did everything but the neck finish, Clive did that.
It has Ron Ellis pickups in it and sounds and plays as good as any
of the old guitars I have and play . . . jmho
He plays em', collects em', studies em', writes about em', and even builds em'
    What a guy!!

Clive was working in 0514's neck that last time I visited him.

    Nice guitar Redd.

I love these photos of expensive guitars on slippery/shiny floors with no sign of a stand. Unless its blu-tacked (fun tak?) to the wall and floor I'd be bobbing myself that gravity would rear its ugly head some time soon.

    Nice Tele tho!

    OOOOHHHHH its a dandy!

I love this guitar! Maybe the slippery floor trick is a secret part of the aging/relicing process?

    I agree with Redd 150%!!!!

My Nachocaster is every bit as good (and in someways better) than any real blackguard I've owned or played...

I believe that Redds guitar and mine, were two of the first ones that Nacho did and yes, he did everything but the neck (Clive Brown) and pickups (Ron Ellis) Its my understanding that he now does the whole guitar now though...

Spleen is the "Twin Reverb" of organs. You better wait until the market rebounds.

Redd's guitar looks "real". Looks like he has played that one for 60 years, but he's not even 60. Nice relic & looks like Redd is happy! Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Redd! Was this Tele based on a particular vintage piece like Bill's?

With a little help from my friends!!

I came up with this idea of trying to make these accurate guitars. As you may know, the neck job is the most difficult to do. It made sense for me to use my friends who are also great players as my guinea pigs. I thought if i could make a guitar that Bill and Redd would sincerely love, id go on. I thought my neck work was not up to level yet so in these first ones i asked Clive for help and he did a great job. Bill and Redds response was so enthusiastic that i kept working and i do the whole work myself from scratch ever since.
Id like to thank you guys for all the compliments and support given!
    All best
    Nacho
