Does anyone know how to clean pickup pole pieces? I've heard people say WD40, just wondering what you guys thought.
This piece of joy Strat is on my workbench today.

I've used a cloth and some metal polish, green scotchbrite pads, even steel wool, all worked , sometimes I use combinations thereof.

Keep steel wool away from the pickups. Green scotch brite works best

I've used emory boards, sometimes with a little 3-in-One oil. Worked pretty well.
