Before 2020, how often did you:

    1) mow the lawn
    2) sweep the sidewalks
    3) wash windows
    4) vacuum carpeted areas
    5) mop non-carpeted floors
    6) clean the bathroom
    7) straighten the living room
    8) clean the kitchen
    9) dust the whole place
    10) wash the drapes
    11) other cleaning (you specify)

And now that we're all stuck at home, how often do you:

    A) mow the lawn
    B) sweep the sidewalks
    C) wash windows
    D) vacuum carpeted areas
    E) mop non-carpeted floors
    F) clean the bathroom
    G) straighten the living room
    H) clean the kitchen
    I) dust the whole place
    J) wash the drapes
    K) other cleaning (you specify)

I seem to do A LOT more dishes. Cooking and eating all meals at home for a family of 7 produces a lot of dirty kitchen stuff...

For the last 20 years I do a lot of straightening up of the living room, hauling garbage to the mini dump, washing/drying clothes, washing dishes, wipe off the countertops etc...

Thing is I do it around 4am before I start breakfast for my wife and kids.
It’s a way for me to get motivated, wake up, drink some coffee, and put things in order before I start my day.

Truth told, I think I use those activities to get to feel the sense of accomplishment that comes from completing a task. That and to feel I have some measure of control over my life.

Whole lot here at the farm that I do not have control over. I can do my best every day, but my outcomes are not guaranteed.

I don't have staff........ so the answer to all of them is.. when I get around to it...:D

except sweeping the sidewalk.... I mow that.... people walk down the dirt road anyway....

Oh.. and my washing machine broke, so I hand wash basic clothes in tubs/buckets..... good exercise..:D

Most of those things we all did ourselves. Once we hired a gardener, a housecleaner, took the car to the car wash, got delivery food and everything else our bodies went to mush and we started getting aches and pains.

Nothing has changed, my wife and I both worked from home before, and only one of our kids goes (went) to 1/2 day Pre-K. He's begging to go back every day, poor little dude.

    What's a lawn?
    what's a sidewalk?
Windows will get washed during monsoon.
    Vacuum daily.
living room is also my office at least twice a day Cleaning + whenever the cat or dog knocks over the shredder.
KITCHEN CLEANED AFTER MEALS OR WHENEVER GREAT GRANDSON USES THE SINK!
Laundry etc as needed. A lot lately as I get shipments in every day and don;t know if they are contaminated or not. Change and wash before eating.

Work from home has been complicated since January especially since "home" includes two businesses spread over 40 Acres and a lot of imports!

My wife looked up as to how western Montana people did during 1918. Very few affected ... but of course, very few lived here back in 1918.:D

So far except for being a bit shut in most of the time, our routine hasn't changed, life goes on.

I start work at 07:00. My daughter has night classes, and takes patients up to 21:00. My son has late classes as well. As a result, the vacuum is not run as much as it was before.

Kitchen is still cleaned multiple times a day, bathrooms weekly. The rest is about the same.
