I was at this radio telescope recently (posted about it here too!). The movie based on its early significant events is on TV tonight. This scene just played, it's such a great scene and the music suits it perfectly.

My parents brought us to Oz in Dec 1968 - living in Holmesglen migrant hostel and we got to watch this on tv at school. We didn't have a tv in our hut. We and everyone else walked down the local electrical store - piles of TVs in the window all tuned to the coverage.

Exactly like the scenes in the Easybeats special, army Nissin huts. I was 8. Holmesglen looked like Villawood, even the prefab hall with stage was the same.

I've attended what used to be Villawood migrant hostel (now a detention centre) scores of times with my work. A lot of those huts are still there.

Where did you emigrate from Dacious?
