Classic Vibe Thinline - pickguard template? Mini humbucker?

Which pickguard makes the CV Thinline the most awe-inspiring?

I'm going to buy a CV Thinline, but I'm almost certainly going to swap out the pickguard for black. I did a quick-and-dirty Photoshop mockup (attached), and BWB seems to look best. (Although I figure I should post a poll, just for the hell of it.)

So... does anyone know whether a Fender pickguard is a perfect retrofit for the Classic Vibe? (I'd be surprised.) If not, any idea where I could get one?

In the same vein: I understand the CV Thinline isn't routed for a humbucker in the neck. Can anyone recommend a good miniature humbucker that would fit the current routing? (I take it I'd still have to enlarge the hole in the pickguard, no? These are likely to be the size of Strat single coils.) Is this a serious compromise, or is it possible to get proper humbucker sounds, a la Keith Richards, from a small pickup?

Nobody? Nobody here does custom pickguards, even?

Ah, at least we're getting some votes!

I must confess, I'm liking the pearloid better, the more I research the original Thinline. It's a classic (if gaudy) look.

Hm. Pickguardian might do it: "Due to the inconsistency of many Squier models,
we will only make Squier guards on a case-by-case basis."

It would be great if it were a direct retrofit -- anyone here have both the CVT and a Fender Thinline?

Top and bottom one for me, but the pearloid one is classic.
