yes it comes with 2 wrenches one for the saddles and one for the truss rod and a QC label. So dont throw the box away. I never throw any boxes away for anyhting I buy.

What I do is leave all the packing material inside and add the receipt. That way if anything does happen to anything under the warranty period I have everything I need in 1 box.

    Wow thats awesome.

When I first started this thread I thought maybe 40-50 people would reply and it would scroll off the page in a few weeks never to be seen again.

But its just the opposite. Being a member here for 12 years no single new Tele has ever created this much attention.

Lets see if we can get 300 serial numbers here by the end of this year.

If they do introduce any new colors for the CV or make a CV 60's then we will watch the list grow fast!

    New Tele CV

    Hello everyone.

I have enjoyed the forum since joining a few months ago when I made the decision to buy a Classic Vibe 50s Telecaster.

The guitar arrived last week and it is absolutely beautiful. The tone is sweet and subtle but it also has brightness and colour.
    My serial number is CGS0800644

I'm not quite sure how this would fit in the numerical list as it has one digit fewer than the rest. Not exactly how I would describe myself - on digit short of a serial number!

Allen keys? I got a great deal on my CV, so perhaps I should not complain, but I got nothing with it at all. (unless you count the sticker and the protective layer on the pg.)

So I wonder, what was supposed to come with it besides these allen keys? An owner's manual? anything?

What sizes are those keys anyway? One for adjusting the bridge saddles? What else? A big one for the truss rod?

    Thanks

As far as the truss rod goes....I have a Fender T-handle 3/16" wrench that seems to work. It's sloppy but it works.
Sticker???? I didn't get no sticker!!!!!

Thanks for the truss rod wrench size data. It will easy enough to figure out which allen wrench fits the saddles...

As for the sticker, I just meant the Classic Vibe sticker that is on the layer of material protecting the pick guard.

We have 203 now from board members. Shouldn't be too tough.

If you got it in a sealed box and it wasnrt a scratch and dent discounted model then the 2 wrenches should have been there. They are easy to miss so if you got it in a store and didnt get the original box they probably just threw the box away not knowing the wrenches were in there.

If you search thru this thread you will find the sizes of the 2 allen wrenches..

Thanks. Yeah I got it at a store. Mebbe I'll pester them about it - at least to let them know that they should not be throwing that stuff away...

Its small and easy to miss cause they come with quite a bit of packing.

others here have had the same thing happen.

I FINALLY got notification from the courier that a request was sent by the store for pick-up. Hopefully I'll have it within the next two weeks!

Wow, i feel your pain, waiting is a killer.
I'm spoilt here. Went shopping today for strings and -while I'm there- played their Classic Vibe Tele and both CV Strat models too..

The CV Tele in their stock was good -lighter than mine too. imho the production quality of the CVs is staying as good as they were at the start.

    My CV was a fluke.
I needed a Tele twang for one part in one song. So I called L&M and it was the only Tele they had in the price range I was willing to spend.

It's now my go-to guitar. Ya' figger it's the only thing Squire got right???? [Other than the early JV series???]

    CV weight

I finally got around to weighing my CV accurately. Weighed it at the post office on the Royal Mail scales. 3772 grams thats 8lb & 5oz. Which is a bit less than I expected.
My Hot Rod is 3470 grams thats 7lb & 10oz.

I wonder how many CVs are under 8lbs.
