Well I parted with my Daphne blue classic 50's strat in a great trade for a 1975 Fender Mustang that is just lovely to have but a little small to play. So I have been watching GC used inventory since about a week after the trade. I saw a surf green pop up last week. Made a call to that store. Got some additional pics sent. The deal was good so I bought it. It came with modern Fender tuners installed and the original version in the Bag. Came with the original Gig Bag these were sold with and all the papers and trem arm still in the sealed plastic bag. I haven't had much time to spend with it yet. But I did order a replacement pick guard for it, the original one is a bit warped in two spots. Which they told me about over the phone. I went with a single ply parchment. Should be here mid next week. Now for what counts.

Thanks Stevo, Can't wait to get the Parchment Guard I think it will really add a subtlety that the Guard needs. I never cared for Appliance White guards.

    Way to go!

What is not to like about that? Nothing, that's what.

The original tuners are going back in and the modern tuners will either be sold/traded or installed in my 51.

Thanks for the warning, but I can't stay away from Surf Green! NICE.

I've had Daphne Blue (Mustang) and Shell Pink (Strat) in my life, but I've got to have a Surf Green SOMETHING before I keel over!

    Thanks for the photos, enjoy!

Thanks guys. It was either this or buy one from a Rondo for 80 bucks and spend 300 bucks trying to make it play and sound as good as this one.

Thanks. Speaking of vibrations, these strats have the best bass on the low E of any I've played.
