the paisley is really the last one to come out of the old shop. The paisley skin came from a customer who wanted his japanese paisley stripped and shot in a chocolate metalflake. I just removed the skin and glued it on a one piece ash body. Under a black light the flouresent puke pink paint job reminds me that the late 60's nightmare never goes away....

resurrecting an old thread...saw marty stuart just this past thursday and was so stoked to see a piece of music history, clarence white's old tele, on stage! got to thinking I have a roadworn tele I don't use....so thought I could modify it to kind of look like this iconic guitar! didn't think I would ever find the frankfurt decal, but there is was on the website! Thanks!!!

Anyone know where to get a nudi sticker or the satellite dashboard emblem?

Satellite emblems - your best bet is eBay. Mike used to make up but not for quite a while. He may have some of the "Clarence correct" black hat Nudie stickers (Clarence never had one where Nudie wore a white hat - that one either fell off or was ruined and Marty replaced it with the only thing he could find.

If Mike doesn't have one, let me know. I may be able to come up with a **limited** number - a little lighter in color but at least the right one.

Mike did the B-bender for my main Telecaster and it's still working fine ten years later... I also got the Nudie sticker from him. The only thing I did is turn the plate behind the bridge over so it's more "even" looking. JH in Va.

Very cool guitar! I am thinking i am going to do a personalized version of Clarence's iconic tele...instead of "satellite" i'm going to use a "turbo" emblem i found for cheap on ebay. I have the frankfurt decal but not sure if i am going to use it as I have a cowboy pin up waterslide decal already on the guitar. I have a red pearl pickguard ordered...not sure if i am going to change the neck pickup either.

thanks for sharing your pic.....your guitar looks great!
