The best kinds of gifts are cheap and meaningful I think. Feeling especially so recently, I was inspired to make this clock for my Dads birthday. We jam often and slog our way through many unknown songs. Not having memorized the chord progressions, I need the cheat sheet. It's nice to have this hanging on the wall for quick reference. He finds it useful as well though being retired, doesn't have to be anywhere anytime soon. Which is a good thing because he'd be late anyway.

I present to you the Circle of Fifths clock. Removed it from my wall, took it all apart, printed out the face and mounted it. I took photo's of our guitars and colored printed and mounted on the hands. The big hand is my Dad's 1972 Tele Custom and the little hand is my 1989 Strat + Dlx and VIOLA! Now it's a "gift"..

C you at noon!

University music theorists talk about the clock face all the time. This is beautiful.

I think I want a circle of fourths clock, then. That looks backwards to me!

You just need the Bavarian clock version--it runs counter-clockwise.

To the OP, I'd put one in my teaching studio as long as the clock itself was quiet. ;)

With a quick turnaround you could achieve dominance in this market! ;)

What a great idea and a thoughtful, personalized gift for your father.
