What are the general thoughts on CIJ Blue Flower Paisley Tele's from the late 90's/early 00's ?

Is it just me or do they seem to be selling for quite a lot more these days? Have these been gaining in value?

I'm thinking about buying one that is selling locally, but considering it is not a NEED purchase I would like to know whether I can easily make the money back if required.

What would you say is a fair price?

    Thanks!

They are not common, so the price is higher than a normal MIJ Tele. Probably about US$1000 is the street price, maybe more.

Just shows you how crap the market is at the moment! The first one is misnamed. It's a CIJ, not a MIJ.

Some people believe an MIJ is worth more than a CIJ that's why. Good eye. I have an MIJ, love it. 1993

I played one recently here on Okinawa and was quite impressed. I've never really liked the looks of the ones I've seen in pics but seeing this thing in the shop I thought it looked amazing. I took it down and played and thought and it played really well. I could only imagine what it would it play like if I set it up. I played it through an amp and it was all that. Quite impressed with it overall. It was $600. If I didn't already have 4 Tele's I might have gone for it.

I own one of the 1992/93 reissue blue flower models with what I do believe are original vintage pups. It's a keeper.

I had a 2002 CIJ TL69-BFL Tele for a while. It had quite a nice rare flame maple neck. I sold it in the end to get a MIM 50s Classic Tele, which played and felt better to me.

    Thanks,

I have an '84ish and 2000ish Blue Floral...the only difference I can detect between them are the little black letters...

Same goes for the MiJ/CiJ paisleys.
