Just took the plunge into some Chrome flats! Loving the mellow sound and silky smooth left hand feel. Definitely finding them a little harder to bend than the Slinkies (both sets are 10s) but I’m enjoying the tone so much! much cheaper than a new guitar lol

Some jams I just recorded from my Active Melody lessons:

Ps not sure where to put this, there’s no string forum here, right? Feel free to move!

I use Chromes (13-56) on my Danelectro Baritone. I used Chrome 11's for a while on a Strat I had setup for open C slide.

Sounds good. Do they wear out quicker than nickel strings or have a longer life?

The ones on my baritone have been there about 4 years. I kind of treat them like bass strings.

Thanks, and that’s a good question. I’ve had these on for 2 days lol! I know with bass flats, most players say they only get better with age, basses out there strung up with 20 year old flats. I’d love to hear how long guitar players leave a set of these on.

These guitar strings run like $17 online, I paid $20 at my local store. I don’t really plan on changing them often. on my bass and acoustic I basically leave em on till they break (which I haven’t done in many years) or I’m just curious to try something else. Gonna get my money’s worth on these!
