    Who's cutting?

My wife has a white pine picked out. I haven't seen it yet.

I'm going to do the "hauling it down from the attic" ritual soon.

We're not doing one again this year. We missed out last year due to my surgeries and we just don't feel like it this year. Perhaps 2021 will be better. Hope your tree is great!

We do a pretty small Tree but, we like to hang some lights.
Usually, that is done by my Daughter and myself.
    This year, nope!

    Next year.

Ours has been up since September. Decorations being changed out right now from "Autumn Tree" to "Christmas Tree".
My wife is a decorating nut. She has serious DAS: Decoration Acquisition Syndrome.
Half of the already very-limited storage in our house is taken by her stuff for EVERY holiday. It is a constant rotation.

As for the "Autumn Tree": Elizabeth is from Chicago and misses the Fall season.
I have come to appreciate and anticipate when the tree goes up in Sept.

We only have 3 seasons here: Spring 1, Hell, and Spring 2. Springs 1 and 2 seem to be getting shorter every year.

Putting up means taking down later.
Best to wait until you feel up to it.

I was working near Conifer Colorado a couple of decades ago around Christmas time. I was in a conifer forest so I took the bucket truck up as high as I could go and rigged the jib winch to the top of a conifer tree and cut it. Being a tall tree above the others, the top was perfect. Now, what I did was likely illegal and I'm not asking for forgiveness. I did what I did.

I got it down and strapped it to the top of my Suzuki Sidekick and brought it back to the house I was renting with three other roommates. It was much taller than I thought it was going to be and we ended up cutting another three feet off of the bottom so it would fit but it was the nicest Christmas tree I've ever seen. It would have easily sold for two or three hundred bucks.

Ours went up Tuesday. Kids were excited, then the boys got distracted and my daughter and I finished it.

Much earlier than normal. Went up to the attic, dreading having to string lights on the prelit tree that doesn't lite, and remembered we bought a new one after last Christmas.

We’ve got a fake tree and have had for that past 4 years. Resl trees have gotten stupid expensive as well as being a mess long before Three Kings Day.
7.5’ pre lit Overland Fir is a decent looking tree
Put the tree up this morning but no ornaments yet
Plugged in the outdoor lights and two strings are dead. grrrr. Going to Home Depot to get more strings.
There are multiple strings of larger bulbs in the non-ornament box so I may just shotgun the whole lot and go with the bigger bulbs
Assembled the lit angel so it’s ready to be rigged to its place on the deck

We’ve had an artificial tree for at least the last 20 years. We’ll be putting it up next week.

Same here, she has the attic above the garage stuffed with Christmas decorations and every year I'm in charge of setting them up

On December 21 I will pull a small, pre-decorated-pre-lit tree out of the guest room closet and plug it in in the living room.

On the afternoon of the 25th, it will go back into the closet.

    Same as it ever was.
