Sad news. She was a much stronger writer, vocalist and musician than Stevie (who basically just wrote the same song over and over), but lived a little in the shadow of the huge stage presence that Stevie brought.

I wish Peter would have stayed with the band and Christine joined while he had the helm. WOW! No one would miss the new Fleetwood. Perfect world it would have been for Ms Perfect.
So sad, RIP Christine. Buckingham/Nicks would have been fine on their own.
Christine layed down piano for a lot of the "Mr. Wonderful" album. Might be the closest we'd get to a Peter and Christine collaboration!

Think I'll put on "Bare Trees" in honor of Ms. Perfect today...

Oh man. I always figured Jon would go first, or Mick as I assumed they were the oldest of the group.

She had a wonderful voice and her organ and keys parts really rounded out the group.

She must be easy to love, I heard Jon (ex-husband) say in an interview once that he was really upset that Christie had found a new lover and the new guy happened to be his best friend. Later he said he came to terms with it and if she was going to leave him he said he would rather she leave him for his best friend than for someone he did not know.

This one breaks my heart! Man, I loved that girl’s voice and her music! I always favored her songs over Stevie’s. Even though I was married when Fleetwood Mac hit the big time (76-77), I was in love with that girl!

Thanks Christine for all the great, great memories!!

I saw her and Lindsey B. just 5 years ago in Philly. Up until that time, that was the most I spent for a concert ticket, but it was worth every penny! Jakob Dylan opened the show.

One of my favorites of hers from “Heroes Are Hard To Find”:

There is a new angel singing in heaven tonight. RIP Miss!

Sad to hear. I was traveling last weekend and listening to old Fleetwood Mac albums. I have to say that “Mystery to Me” is one their best Bob Welch era albums with great songs and guitar tones. Here’s one of the cool but obscure tracks from that album, sung by Christine MacVie.

I'm saddened by news of all who pass this world, but this one hurts.

RIP mam

Not her most popular song but my favorite. Love John's bass lines as well.

So sorry to hear this, such a brilliant, beautiful singer and writer, she could be as tender as anyone ever and rock it up in fun as well. RIP and thank you, thank you Christine.
