THANKS! Way cool pic, the Pretenders have been a favorite since their first album. Chrissie Hynde has always bee one of my favorites. Great pics...looks like they rocked
their first and second albums are fantastic
saw them at the US Festival and they tore the place up. The first chord of Message of Love brought the entire crowd to its feet, that was at dusk. I seem to remember the Clash came on next. The rest of the night with Stevie Nicks and Bowie and the others were unbeliveable but that first chord blaring from The Pretenders caused 100,000 or so zonked people to jump up onto the feet and charge the stage. Never saw anything like it before or since...Chrissy and the band kicked some serious a** that night.
that mustve been cool to see the pretenders then the clash...awesome!
Love the Pretenders, great pics!
And the drummer is behind plexiglass because... ?
Gobbing (still goes on...)
it's because martin chambers is ungodly loud and it probably throws chrissie off (judging by how the plexiglass shield is positioned).
who spits on the band at concerts these days? that's an old punk thing.
love the pretenders and their third album is classic, as well.
The Cabronita, if you think about it, is just perfect for a performer like Chrissie!
One thing I do NOT understand. I saw the Pretenders once, at the Kiefer Arena on the East UNO campus, and I don't remember anything except that I was there. That usually never happened. Very weird.
