I swear, they must be the 'state dog' of New Mexico, or something?
I mean, the little ankle biters are EVERYWHERE here!?
You see elderly women in Santa Fe, carrying them around like a cheap bottle of Mad Dog 20/20 wrapped in a blanket.
I have a couple of Shetland Sheepdogs at home.
Now, they ain't exactly Great Dane-sized,.....but they look it compared to the local Chiwawas population.
A friend of mine's Chiwawas actually has a Mohawk hairdo....and YES, I do often question his sanity?
    My wife thinks they're.....cute???
But then again, she likes my third-rate guitar playing also....................

Oh, screw those dogs. My daughter wanted one when she was, like, six. I got her one (cause, you know, Daddy's girl) and that lasted about a month before we gave it away. When a six year old girl can't stand it, that's an annoying animal.

We have a pit bull now, and it's the sweetest dog I've ever owned.

And yes, the damned chihuahuas are everywhere down here too.

nothing wrong with a small dog...chihuahuas arent my thing but neither is parachuting out of a plane for fun...its the in trend to walk around with a toy breed under your arm everywhere you go...peoples self importance bugs me more than a small dog breed

I don't mean to be the spelling police, but you live in New Mexico and you can't spell chihuahua?

I couldn't break it from humping stuffed animals. And it was neutered.

    Seriously, screw those dogs.

Since we're tossing names at guys with small dogs, maybe the guys with big dogs are the ones who need to stand a little closer to the urinal to keep the floor dry. Toto says he's 14 pounds of dynamite and don't you forget it. If you don't like your ankle bit keep it out of his mouth, you're too close, he likes his space same as you do. He doesn't like well wishers taking the liberty of petting his head and calling him cute either, he doesn't do that to you, just keep your distance and everything will be alright.

Addendum, it's OK for young ladies who smell good with big **** to pick him up and hug him, while they gush about how cute he is to me.

I find a little Latin elevates the conversation.

I have a chihuahua; he's my best buddy. Yes, he barks a lot when someone shows up, but he's never bitten anyone. He's just excited to have company! Toto'sDad is right; they don't like people invading their space, but from what I've experienced, they are very lovable dogs.

The name always makes me think of Ted on Mary Tyler Moore saying "chih-hooah-hooah."

I have fallen madly in love with one ofr those little dogs.

Was of similar opinion until rescuing one a little over a month ago.

The cihauhau is an amazing little dog .

    mine is smart and pleasant

the best snuggler of all time.

    Yes I am smitten

    :lol

chihauhaus and their people form very strong bonds that is why folks carry em around. Not for fashion.

I like 'em stuffed with peppers, cheese, and chorizo, then slow roasted on a spit. A little side of fresh tortilla chips and guac really make it though. Like eating a domestic squirrel...
