Has this happened to anyone else?

I was playing guitar on clean the other day (little wing) and a bird perched itself in front of my window and started chirping. Not sure if it was responding to my guitar playing or not.

If it was, thats really cool :D

Ironically, it was a sparrow.

Dogs howl. And it is in response to my playing.

There's also a vulture hanging around, but I'm not sure it's singing; It seems to be waiting though...

Never Birds, but I have managed to draw a crowd of toads out of the flowerbeds by playing one evening.

Yeh, my local Butcher birds are quite the singers... and have often sing along outside on the railing to music or guitar... cool.eh?...

the other day on that 50th ani of the Love Me Do song, I thought I'd get it on youtube for a listen.... while it was playing one of the younger BB's that has been hanging out by the back door chirping for food handouts..
they learn fast... usually he only does single note chirps (feed me,feed me).. a bit annoying...
well, he was singing adult, more elaborate calls for the first time..... to this beatles song....

when the music stopped... he went back to single note juvenile chirps.... so he was definitely singing along to the music.... way cool... it was the first time I'd heard him do it...

Our keyboard player's daughter is training to be a vet,so all sorts of waifs and critters become in-house lodgers. One of the current incumbents is a sparrow. When music is playing or the television is on,it's chirp, chirp, bloodychirp, hit the mute button and the bird is silent.

I'm beginning to think the remote works the bird as well as the tv.

I just usually hear a lot of people moaning when I play.

 I got that once from the people upstairs for playing too loud.

Its very interesting to see animals respond to music, makes me feel like a better guitar player since they're not running away.

I remember a good friend of mine had a small dog that would attack his sister whenever she practiced her clarinet. His father said that it was because she was "squeaking" her reed, which hurt the dog's ears.

Yes, I have Had birds chirp along. Back in my Austin days we had a pair of cockateels who loved to be outdoors. Whenever I sat out on the patio with them and played my guitar they would sing along. They seemed to love music.

Our little chihhuhua loves to come and bark and howl when I play guitar high up the neck, we play games with it. I say wait and he waits and then I go in to a quick litlle pick flurry and he barks / howls along and then when I stop he stops, then we do it again. Funny and great fun, he loves it.

Sometimes when I practice in my music room I swear I can hear him outside the door singing along too. He's a little character

Yup. Two obnoxious Galahs like to scream along.

BTW - Galahs are tone deaf. Frankie (in my avatar) whistles in monotone. Doesn't hatter what you try to teach him ... monotone.

Better than the 5' gopher snake that came in my shop door while a customer was trying out a new guitar!

When I first married my wife she had a cat named Groucho who loved the acoustic guitar and always sat next to me when I played so that he could feel the vibrations from the guitar. When I would put it on the stand he would often go up to it a bIte the strings to make them ring out. One day he bit the strings and broke one. It smacked him in the face and he ran off in a bolt. He never played guitar agaIn.
